Toxovax

Toxovax Advert

Toxoplasma gondii is a parasite which causes at least 25% of diagnosed infectious abortions in sheep in Great Britain.  Surveys have shown that it is widespread on sheep farms.  Losses caused by toxoplasmosis include increased barrenness, mummifications, abortions, stillbirths and weakly lambs, depending on the stage of pregnancy at the time of infection.  Toxovax is a unique, live vaccine against toxoplasmosis.  Vaccination of ewes with a single 2ml dose at least 3 weeks before mating helps protect against the losses caused by the disease.  The vaccine may be used at the same time as Enzovax
