Salmonella-caused scours need not be a problem

Scours are one of the main health problems for young calves, and statistics show that salmonella remains a significant cause of this nasty condition.  Some producers overlook the fact that vaccinating dry cows 3-4 weeks before calving with BovivacĀ® S gives immunity against Salmonella dublin and Salmonella typhimurium - and protection for the calf via colostrum.
