Tick Awareness Month Planned for May 2017
Milton Keynes, March 20, 2016 – MSD Animal Health (known as Merck Animal Health in the United States and Canada), manufacturers of BRAVECTO®, has announced that this year’s Tick Awareness Month will take place in May, giving veterinary practices ample time to apply for their resource pack and get involved.
Last year saw the launch of the first ever Tick Awareness Month which attracted both national and regional media coverage and the support of vet practices across the UK. With the support of Chris Packham and the team at Bristol University the Big Tick Project appeared on the Radio Four Today programme, BBC Radio 1, 2 and 5, BBC TV Breakfast, BBC TV News, Good Morning Britain, ITV News and Channel 5 news, to name just a few.
Amanda Melvin, Small Animal Marketing Manager at MSD Animal Health comments: “Last year’s Tick Awarness Month was a great success thanks to the high involvement of veterinary practices. We would like to give as many practices as possible the chance to get involved this year so are urging surgeries to get in touch early and we will ensure you get a pack of support resources for this nationwide event.”
