New 20-dose vial for Bovilis® Ringvac

MILTON KEYNES, UK, 12 October 2016 – The only vaccine available to control ringworm in cattle is now available in a larger vial size to make it easier to administer to greater numbers of calves.

Bovilis® Ringvac now comes in a 20-dose vial in addition to the previous five-dose presentation. It can be used to both prevent ringworm and treat the irritating fungal skin condition to shorten the recovery time of affected cattle.

The vaccination course is two intra-muscular injections 10-14 days apart. Calves can be vaccinated from two weeks of age and should be immune to ringworm three weeks after the second injection. Farmer feedback suggests that correctly vaccinated cattle are protected for life without the need for boosters.

Always Use Medicines Responsibly. Please see: for more information.
Bovilis® Ringvac contains viable microconidia of Trichophyton verrucosum strain LTF-130 after reconstitution in the solvent provided. Legal category: POM-V . Withdrawal period: Zero days. Bovilis® Ringvac is only available from a veterinary surgeon, from whom advice should be sought.
