MSD Animal Health receives Animal Pharm award for the IDAL® portfolio
Milton Keynes, UK, January 29 2019 –MSD Animal Health’s pig team are elated to receive the ‘best new food animal product’ award for the IDAL family from the leading online animal health media source – Animal Pharm.
Released in 2018, the IDAL 3G twin is celebrated as the first needle-free and intradermal device with two injector heads for swine vaccinations. Removing the needle from the process improves animal welfare as the vaccination is safer and less stressful for the pigs, plus more convenient and efficient for the farmers when compared to original injections.
MSD Animal Health is the only company offering dual intradermal vaccination against the key swine diseases, porcine circovirus type 2 and porcine enzootic pneumonia – administering two vaccines at the same time offers quick protection for the pigs against potentially fatal illnesses.
Another new device in the pig portfolio – the IDAL 3G – was praised by Animal Pharm for its comfortable handling, two button control and graphical display. The device is licensed to administer three intradermal vaccines in the UK, PORCILIS® PRRS, PORCILIS PCV ID, PORCILIS M Hyo ID Once. MSD Animal Health is the sole company to offer intradermal vaccines against key swine diseases.
