Vaccines

Vaccination can help protect against serious infectious diseases in dairy and beef cattle, including Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD), Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR), Leptospirosis, salmonella, calf scour and pneumonia. Many other factors can influence development of disease and preventative healthcare, such as husbandry and diet. All vaccination programmes and biosecurity plans are farm specific so please consult your animal health care provider.

Information about vaccination for farmers can be found on Disease? Not On My Farm.

Animal medicines should always be used responsibly. For more information on responsible use please visit the NOAH pages on this topic.
